Occupational Health and Safety Management System
Best Practice: The Occupational Health Safety and Welfare Act defines the responsibilities to contractors and customers while work is being carried out. Fix It All prides itself in operating to best practice standards for OHS&W as befits an organisation specialising in meeting the needs of frail, aged and disabled people.

Safety Training: All site workers are trade qualified, and have therefore received extensive training in OHS&W. Additionally, in 2006, Brett Tomlinson completed a one week training course and is qualified as OHS&W Representative Level 1. In 2007, he completed training in recognising and safe handling of asbestos.

Site Management: Prior to work commencing, all sites are inspected to identify potential hazards to workers. Site management, safe operating procedures and personal protective equipment are the highest priorities when work is underway for customers. Work at heights is always carried out with two workers on site at all times.

Equipment: All equipment used on site is fully maintained and fit for purpose. All electrical equipment is tested and tagged as required by OHS&W regulation to minimise risk of electrical shock. At no time do Fix It All workers use equipment for any purpose other than that specified by the manufacturer.

Vehicles: All Fix It All vehicles are modern, fully maintained, fitted with emergency communication systems, and carry occupational first aid kits. Both Brett and Vicki Tomlinson hold current senior first aid certificates. Vehicles are always parked legally and carefully, to allow safe entry and egress to cargo areas for workers.
